HopfenTreader

The term 'hopfentreader' originated in the Hallertau Valley of Bavaria referring to the harvesters of perennial climbing bines, humulus lupulus (hops) . They would collect hops on stilts and stomp the pungent flower into burlap sacks. A patchwork of family farms, going back over twelve generations. With over two thousand independent producers today on less than 50,000 acres.

The Dictionary defines the verb 'Tread'
walk; bear down, stamp, stride, hike, hoof; to go on foot

With this blog I intend on recording my walk and travels with Beer. To bear down and type the views, moods, smells, and scenes along the way. Stamping reviews, thoughts, wonders, and weirds of the hike.
